Welcome to the RuDASA Rural Health Conference 2011 website
This year's Rural Health Conference, titled "Making Primary Health Care Better', took place from 8-10 September 2011 in the picturesque village of Rhodes in the Eastern Cape.
The conference was attended by more than170 delegates from 8 provinces and 7 medical schools, representing 8 medical professions - a truly diverse representation of rural health workers in South Africa.

The Rural Doctor of the Year award for 2011 was presented at the conference. We congratulate Dr, and Dr Liz Gatley from Zithulele Hospital in the Eastern Cape on their achievements.
